After we got back from Thorsmörk, we went to Reykjavik in order to get a rental car. The schedule for the next 11 days: exploring the ring road (also called the „golden circle“) of Iceland. So we pass our time with enjoying the beautiful landscape, watching sunsets and sunrises and camping of course. After the few luxurious days in the dorms of the huts we are now back in our tent an enjoy it most of the time… as long as the temperature is above 0°C at least.

In order to get you in the right mood, here is a link to one of our favourite songs from this trip: Paddy goes to Holyhead „Tales of never ending days“

In Stykkishólmur we take the ferry to the Westfjords

IcedII-5

We took the ferry to the west fjords and there was this very short stopover on the tiny island Flatey. Chris decided to check it out and guess what, he stranded there for a bit because the ferry left without him… thank goodness that 4 other people had the same idea and all of them were carrying their car keys with them. Because no one would have been able to get off the ferry with these vehicles blocking the way, the ferry thankfully came back for them!

I didn’t quite manage to destinguish any more rules apart from „hit the ball“ and „aim for the goal“. Fouling is not only accaptable but seems to be a major part of the fun
